Chinese / Portuguese, born in 1988, Yue (Hyuè) Huang is a contemporary jewellery and object artist whose work explores themes of identity through material experimentation and personal inquiry. 

From 2018 to 2022, Hyuè attended the Bachelor and Master programs at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence, Italy; where he received training in traditional goldsmithing techniques and contemporary jewellery practices, with a focus on Cultural Identity. 

Now based in Lagos, Portugal, his practice is driven by a continuous process of research and making, where materials become tools for reflection, transformation and narrative. Through his jewellery and objects, Hyuè seeks to navigate the complex layers of belonging, memory and self.
