THE TEMPLE
This work began with a fleeting encounter -a second hand camera box spotted by chance at a flea market. From that quiet moment of reflection emerged a dual-form jewellery piece, created in 2023 as part of Hyuè’s ongoing exploration of adornment beyond ornamentation.
Jewellery here becomes a vessel, a medium stretched to its conceptual edge. It holds not only form, but feeling -articulating the layered, often contradictory textures of human experience.
Through the language of steel blades -objects both made and feared; Hyuè questions the contours of contemporary identity. Sharpness or dullness, strength or exhaustion, perfection or disruption, allure or danger etc. each dichotomy hums with possibility. This is a meditation on what it means to be made, to be seen, to be held and misunderstood all at once.
